REVIEW

VULTURE's "Easier to Lie" is fifth, last, and in my opinion the finest CD release on the highly collectible Overdrive label. The musical growth is quite obvious here if you compare it to their slightly too chaotic debut “Fatal Games”, both from instrumental and lyrical part. “Easier to Lie” is filled with semi-technical thrashers in mid- to up-tempo, with intelligent lyrics (except for the first track “Hatred at First Sight”), mostly dealing with society and human mind. Some more complex structures on this album are "guilty" that this may not be the album you'd adore after first listening, but it's a constent grower. The vocal delivery here is as well top-notch, the new singer Rick Ritman provided as high screams as did his predecessor Soet, but in a lot more balanced and overall better way. Although this CD might be quite hard to come by and usually costs a lot too, it's definitely worth your time and money, especially if you're into more complex speed / thrash metal.
