Das erste Lebenszeichen von MAXIMUS war nicht ihre CD "Fire of Rage", sondern ihr selbst produziertes Demo "Pain and Sorrow" von 1992! Ansonsten hat der Charly aber mit allem Recht, was er zu "Fire of Rage" geschrieben hat. Technischer US-Metal vom feinsten, mal mehr, mal weniger kompliziert. Die Laufzeit beträgt über eine Stunde! Was tat sich zwischen 1992 und 1994: Greg duCharme zog von Fredonia nach Thiensville und Ur-Drummer Mike Jannke wurde durch Mike Phillip ersetzt. Die Musik blieb erste Klasse! Diese Cassette habe ich erst einmal gesehen und sofort gekauft. Viel Spaß bei der Suche ! (Claus-A. Dette / 2007) |

The first release of MAXIMUS wasn't the CD "Fire of Rage", it was the self-produced Cassette from 1992 called "Pain and Sorrow". Anyway, all other points of view Charly has written in his review about "Fire of Rage" are absolutely correct and the same for "Pain and Sorrow". Technical US-Metal at its best, sometimes more complicated with many breaks, sometimes straight ahead. The running-time is more than 1 hour! What has happened between 1992 and 1994: Greg duCharme went from Fredonia to Thiensville and first drummer Mike Jannke has gone. Substitute was Mike Phillip. The music still was first class!
