REVIEW
Another gem from Australia! KNIGHTMARE plays modern type of power metal but without any gay melodies which are very popular today, especially in Europe. It lasts only 25 minutes but it will hold your attention from the start until it's over - and then you'll press the "Repeat" button. Vocals will simply blow you away with it's strength and power, going from middle to high range and you'll often find yourself singing together with the singer. Two guitarists are incredible, putting some complex and original riffs with a lot of twists 'n' turns so it never gets boring. Also, guitar leads are extremely melodic and memorable. The rhythm section sounds insanely tight and dynamic with few short drum solos here 'n' there and with constant polyrhythmic changes. Every song here has something to offer, for example, "Exterminator" has "gang" shouts thrown in the chorus, "Unholy" comes with some mindblowing guitar harmonies while "The Conan saga" has of the best choruses i've heard in a long time, you really have to hear it because it sounds glorious! The production is very powerful and "sleek" and deprived of any stupid studio effects. On the whole, this is one quite impressive EP by the very talented young band and i hope they will continue the same way in the future. Support! (Gary C. / 2009)
